The 2009 Environmental Compliance Conference will take place November 5, 2009 at the Lambton Golf & Country Club, Scarlett Road, Toronto. The conference this year will focus on two environmental issues in Ontario. The first track will highlight the proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 153/04 and the area of Brownfield's redevelopment; and the second track stems from the Waste Diversion Act -- extended producer responsibility and Zero Waste initiatives. In addition, a keynote speaker will open the conference.

On Wednesday February 18, 2008, Hazmat Management Magazine and the EcoLog Group presented a half-day workshop focused on the safe removal and destruction of PCBs.

With guest speakers from Environment Canada, Alberta Environment and the Swan Hills Treatment Centre, the seminar explored what the new federal PCB Regulations mean to business and what action companies (with PCBs in use or in storage) must take to comply with the regulations.
